Constantia Blinds makes window shading to measure for Constantia and the suburbs that share its light — Bishopscourt, Newlands, Kenilworth Upper and Tokai. Roller blinds, venetian blinds, motorised systems and folding-arm awnings are made one opening at a time, because a vineyard-facing slider and an original timber-framed sash are not the same window and should not be priced as though they were.
A job runs in one order. You enquire through the form or the chat; one of our expert consultants will contact you shortly and arrange a free in-home measure. At the house each opening is measured in place, and fabric, openness and control are settled room by room against the light that room genuinely receives across a day. A written quote follows it, itemised per window, so you can see what each blind costs before committing to any of them. Once it is approved, each blind is built to the sizes on the sheet and hung by the fitting team, levelled, tested and demonstrated before they leave.

Do you fit blinds to Constantia’s older Cape Dutch openings as well as new glass additions?
Yes — it’s most of what we measure here. Deep-set sash openings usually suit an inside-mount blind if there’s enough recess depth; shallow or non-standard openings often do better with an outside mount. Modern floor-to-ceiling glass on the same property gets measured and specified separately. We check all of this on-site, not from a phone call.

Can blinds be made child-safe?
Yes. Chain and cord tensioners anchoring the loop taut to the wall are standard on our installs, wand-tilt and cordless options are available for nurseries and kids’ rooms, and motorisation removes cords and chains entirely.
Do your motorised and exterior products cope with the south-easter?
Exterior products — awnings, zip screens, roller shutters and external venetians — are specified with wind sensors or zip-guided channels as standard, so they retract or hold tight automatically before a gust does damage.
Will exterior products need estate or body-corporate approval?
Often, yes. Many Constantia wine-estate and security-estate developments carry architectural guidelines governing exterior colours and fascias. We’ll confirm this against your scheme before quoting anything visible from outside.
How long does manufacturing and installation take?
